Web Resources
Online web resources provide children with visual, audio and written information explaining The Eucharist in a way that guides a deeper understanding of the celebration (Catholic Education Office Melbourne, 2010; National Catholic Education Commission, 2011). For the religion education program, a balance needs to be found in the use of such information technologies in the classroom (Ryan, 2006) as a learning tool rather than stipulating the idea that teachers are an unnecessary adjunct to the "real educators" being the "machines" (Ryan, 2006, p. 118). Therefore, it is essential to note that the web resources provided should be used in conjunction with the teaching and learning strategies created by teachers.
